Some of the most important things in life are passed down quietly—through generations, through hard times, through families who believe in doing things the right way.

For me, that started with my grandmother.

She made beef tallow skincare during the Great Depression, when people didn’t waste anything and relied on simple, natural ingredients that actually worked. Tallow wasn’t a trend back then—it was a necessity. It protected skin through harsh weather, long days, and harder lives.

I didn’t realize just how important that knowledge would become… until years later.

Both my dad and I struggled with rosacea. We tried everything doctors recommended—prescriptions, medicated creams, treatments—but nothing ever felt right. Most of it left our skin irritated, greasy, or uncomfortable.

So I went back to what my grandmother taught me.

I started making her recipe again, slowly refining it, improving the texture, and turning it into what is now our Whipped Tallow Lotion. A simple, natural skincare product made the old-fashioned way.

And for the first time… it worked.

But the reason I truly came back to this way of life goes much deeper than that.

When my son Chase was born, everything changed.

I nearly lost my life.
He nearly lost his.

I was in a coma when he came into this world.

If you want to understand just how serious it was, you can read more about that time in my life here:

That experience changes you. It changes how you see your family, your purpose, and what truly matters.

As Chase grew, he began struggling with severe skin problems. What started as a small patch of eczema turned into something much worse as he got older. Like any mother, I searched for answers. We tried doctor-prescribed creams and treatments, but nothing gave him lasting relief.

So once again, I went back to what I knew.

I used the same beef tallow skincare I had been making—simple, natural, nourishing—and slowly, his skin began to heal.

His eczema came under control.
His skin stayed healthy.
And we were finally able to step away from treatments that weren’t helping him.

That was the moment I knew this wasn’t just a family recipe anymore.

This was something I needed to share.

I continued creating products—our Whipped Tallow Lotion, our Face Cream—and began sharing them with others. And then the messages started coming in.

People struggling with eczema for years finally finding relief.
Customers going through cancer treatments telling me their dry, damaged skin finally felt comfort again.
Men and women who had tried countless face creams discovering something that actually worked for their skin.

Those stories mean everything to me.

Because this has never been about selling skincare.

It’s about helping people.
It’s about going back to simple, natural ingredients that your skin understands.
It’s about creating handmade skincare with care, intention, and love—right here on our farm.

My husband Richard and I make every product in small batches, just like my grandmother did. No shortcuts. No unnecessary chemicals. Just real, honest ingredients that work with your skin, not against it.

Everything we make is something I trust on my own family.

And when you use our products, you’re not just buying natural skincare—you’re becoming part of our story.

Part of our family.

Because I know what it feels like to search for something that actually works.
I know what it feels like to fight for your health—and your child’s.

And I will never take for granted the chance to share something that made a difference in our lives.

This is R&R Farm Charm.

And it all started with my grandmother’s recipe… and a second chance at life.
